Chi sono?
Mi chiamo Erika, but you already knew that. I was born in Asti, a little town in the north west part of Italy, and then moved to Australia for – as I promised my mum – a just one year experience downunder. It was 2018 – and guess what? – I never moved back and I am now a citizen of this country too!
Now, I’m here to teach you about my beautiful language and my beautiful home country: its history, its traditions, its secret treasures, and so much more…! Non vedo l’ora!
My Passions
I’ve always had a passion for languages, and I feel incredibly lucky that teaching Italian is now my job.
I was even luckier to be born in Italy—a country with one of the most beautiful, ancient, and musical languages in the world. Growing up surrounded by rich culture, amazing food, good wine, and breathtaking landscapes definitely shaped the way I see and share my language today.
Teaching allows me to connect with people, share my love for Italian, and make learning feel fun and rewarding.
Outside of lessons, you’ll usually find me in the ocean: swimming, surfing, or just soaking up the sun. I bring that same relaxed and joyful energy into every class, and I love helping students enjoy the journey of learning Italian as much as I do.
My Goals
My goal isn’t just to teach Italian. It’s to help people actually enjoy learning it!
I want my students to feel relaxed, curious, and excited to use the language in real life, whether that’s ordering pasta at your favourite ristorante or chatting with a new friend.
Everyone learns differently, so I keep things flexible and tailor lessons to what really works for you. I’m here to make sure you’re not just memorising words, but actually using them, while having a good time along the way. And why not? Having a good laugh as well!
